Savannah Wedding Vow Renewal

Real Weddings

It’s no doubt that we love celebrating love. So, when Susan approached us to help celebrate her 30-year vow renewal, we were smitten with the idea! Susan has been a long-time client of ours. We typically design flowers for her coaching retreats whenever she is in the Savannah area. So we were thrilled and honored when she reached out to us for help with her Savannah wedding vow renewal.

The Design

Susan has such a creative eye and knew exactly what she wanted for her vow renewal. She described the style aesthetic for the event as “Dynasty (the original) meets Beyonce meets “The Great Gatsby”. As part of the design, Susan picked all of her favorite things, including pink and peach ranunculus and roses and white anemones with navy centers.

The Gray Harper team designed a circular meadow arrangement for Susan and Scott’s Savannah wedding vow renewal ceremony. The low-lying and vibrant blooms were the perfect addition to their ceremony in Monterey Square. During the ceremony, Susan held a delicate bouquet of white and pink pastel blooms while Scott wore a boutonniere made with peach ranunculus.

After the ceremony, guests were led by a second-line parade and headed to a reception in the Historic Savannah district. As part of the reception, we designed florals to complement Susan’s design, including a stunning floral table runner and beautiful mantle arrangements.

From the custom-designed gown to the bagpipe entrance and dance performance, Susan and Scott’s Savannah wedding vow renewal embodied this couple perfectly! It was such an honor to work with our long-time client to help celebrate this special milestone! If you are planning a wedding vow renewal, engagement party, or milestone celebration, we want to be there with you! We love creating one-of-a-kind designs for our clients that goes beyond just the florals! So, reach out today to learn more about our event design services!

Real Wedding | Floral Fall Wedding in Savannah

Real Weddings

In September, as the days grow shorter and the air gets crisper, it begins to feel like fall in Savannah. This September day, in particular, was perfect for a small and intimate wedding in the heart of the Savannah Historic District. Kellie and Bill’s floral fall wedding took place at the elegant Mansion on Forsyth Park, and the day was absolutely beautiful!

Floral Fall Wedding Design

The floral design for this downtown Savannah wedding was inspired by traditional and classic southern elements with pops of Fall colors like burgundy.

Kellie’s floral fall wedding bouquet consisted of dusty pink astilbe, white campanula, roses, ranunculus, and burgundy dahlias. Her bridal bouquet was the perfect combination of soft tones with bold pops of color and texture.

Lush floral fall wedding arrangements, which sat in ceramic vases, lined the aisle during the ceremony. Our team also installed a beautiful display at the altar above the couple with dusty pink and white roses and lots of eucalyptus.

Savannah Historic District Wedding Venue.

The Mansion on Forsyth Park was the perfect backdrop for this intimate celebration. The ceremony took place in the stunning marble garden courtyard where our couple exchanged their vows. Friends and family gathered under the elegant tent where lush greenery on the walls of the Mansion complimented the wedding design. Upstairs in the art gallery, guests met Kellie and Bill for their reception. Filled with lots of character and charm, the galleries are a unique option for your reception at the Mansion.

If you are looking for a unique Savannah wedding venue for your destination wedding, The Mansion on Forsyth Park will provide your guests with a truly unique experience. It was the perfect location for this floral fall wedding, which had a classic southern feel.

Whether you are local to Savannah or planning your dream destination wedding beyond, we’d love to work with you to bring your design vision to life! So, reach out and let us know where you are planning your dream destination wedding!

Real Wedding | Savannah Spring Wedding At Soho South

Real Weddings

Meagan + Paul’s wedding took place on the most beautiful day! It was the perfect sunny spring day for a Savannah spring wedding. The couple said their vows during an outdoor wedding ceremony at the steps of the Harper Fowlkes courtyard and then headed to Soho South for a reception. These beautiful Savannah wedding venues are located in the heart of the downtown Savannah historic district and have a ton of history and charm.

Spring Wedding Design

We worked with Design Studio South for this Savannah spring wedding design, and they dreamed up a gorgeous design with a very sophisticated palette. It was the perfect balance of dark blues with green and white accents. The couple’s masculine southern design complimented the reception space’s exposed brick and industrial elements. Our absolute favorite detail of the day was the asymmetrical wedding ceremony backdrop in the Harper Fowlkes courtyard. We chose to pair the asymmetrical arch with caramel-toned candles and glass votives to add a romantic touch to the design.

Savannah Spring Wedding Florals

We loved designing this Savannah spring wedding in early March because the flowers in season are our absolute favorite.

Our team designed Meagan’s bridal bouquet with dyed lisianthus, pieris, roses, spirea, hellebore, white anemone, and sweet peas. Her bouquet smelt amazing with all of the fresh spring blooms.

The asymmetrical arch at the end of the aisle included pops of plum-colored hellebores and caramel combo roses. We then mixed in a ton of fresh greenery to build up the arch in an off-balance fashion. We absolutely loved how the design came to life in their wedding ceremony arch!

When it comes to florals for your wedding day, they can truly make or break your wedding design. That’s why we always enjoy working with professional wedding designers and planners to help bring our client’s wedding vision to life. Thanks to our collaboration with Design Studio South, Meghan and Paul’s masculine southern wedding design was brought to life at their Savannah spring wedding. So, consider pairing your wedding design with Gray Harper’s full-service floral design to ensure your vision comes to life!

Real Wedding | Modern & Pink Wedding at Ships Of The Sea Maritime Museum

Real Weddings

One year after their initially planned wedding, S+D had a beautiful destination wedding at Ships Of The Sea Maritime Museum. The couple had to postpone their original plans due to Covid 19 because they and their guests were traveling from Brooklyn, NY. After having a small wedding on their original date in Maine, the couple renewed their vows in a fabulous destination wedding in Savannah with friends and family nearby.

Fun fact, S+D’s wedding took place at the same venue as my wedding reception exactly 11 years later. It was so fun to celebrate the couple on our 11th wedding anniversary!

Modern & Pink Wedding Design

The bride had envisioned a modern and pink wedding design for her wedding at Ships Of The Sea Maritime Museum. To bring this design to life, we used all pink blooms with minimal greenery and modern vessels. The floral centerpieces were paired with sage-colored taper candles for the reception. The one floral item that didn’t have pink was the bridal bouquet, which was designed with all-white blooms and stood out beautifully.

On the day of the wedding, it poured all day. Luckily, it stopped just in time for the ceremony, the skies cleared, and the sun shined down on the happy couple. Our bride looked absolutely stunning in her modern and sleek Carolina Herrera wedding dress as she walked down the aisle. For the wedding ceremony, the couple stood between two modern floral pillars with gold stands and pink florals that were set up at the base of the steps in front of the William Scarbrough House.

We had so much fun working on this floral design for this modern and pink wedding! Over 1200 stems of baby’s breath were used for this event, each of which was individually painted pink by our team. One of our favorite details of the floral design for this wedding at Ships Of The Sea Maritime Museum was the floral installation for the reception. Billowing bundles of pink baby’s breath were suspended along with sparkling disco balls above the dance floor, and the results were more than we could’ve imagined!

Sometimes when plans don’t go as intended, the alternate arrangements can go much better than ever imagined. This was the case with S+D’s postponed Savannah wedding at Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum. After a year of waiting to celebrate the couple, guests traveled to Savannah for this destination wedding, and we were incredibly excited to join in on the festivities. If your original wedding plans don’t go as intended, we will be there for you to help adjust plans and your design so that you can have the wedding of your dreams! Real Wedding | Fall Inspired Ships Of The Sea Maritime Museum Wedding

Real Weddings

When we met Olivia and Michael, they were working with Design Studio South to design a beautiful neutral-toned Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum wedding. The couple chose this Savannah wedding venue for its beautiful gardens and outdoor space. Design Studio South did a fantastic job designing an event that highlighted the gardens in a whimsical and romantic setting.

Outdoor Ceremony At Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum Wedding

For this wedding at the Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum, the outdoor wedding ceremony took place in front of the historic Scarbrough House. Dark wood folding chairs were set out for guests while the aisle was lined with low-lying floral arrangements of blush pink, peach, and white-toned blooms. The bride and groom stood under a stunning floral wedding ceremony arch that went perfectly with the space. When designing the floral wedding ceremony arch, we chose to incorporate white dahlias, white roses, peach dahlias, peach ranunculus, and peach roses with lots of greenery. This floral wedding ceremony arch turned out to be one of our favorite design aspects!

Fall Wedding Reception With Neutral Tones

The incredible vendor team set up a combination of long and circle tables under the roofed pavilion for this Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum wedding reception. Each guest table was set with white textured linens, wood Helix chairs, and a mixture of tall and short floral arrangements. We used two different colored taper candles in “moss” and “seaside” to round out the design.

Neutral fall tones with pops of peach-colored blooms were the inspiration behind the wedding design. Our couple loved to incorporate blooms wherever possible, from the beautiful floral installation at the sweetheart table to the lush garden of flowers on the cake table. This elegant neutral fall color palette was thoughtfully incorporated in every aspect of the wedding reception. Elements such as the white anemone flower added a touch of modern elegance to the space.

It was an absolute joy working with Olivia, Micheal, and the Design Studio South team for this neutral-toned fall wedding! We loved how Olivia and Micheal embraced florals and had them featured everywhere at their event. Our team enjoys creating a custom floral design that is unique to you! We’d love to chat with you more about your wedding vision and help it come to life!

Real Wedding | Simple & Elegant Destination Wedding in Savannah

Real Weddings

Grace and Sean originally had a beautiful destination wedding in Savannah planned for September 2021. However, like many other couples, they chose to postpone their wedding due to Covid 19. Almost exactly one year later, the two said their vows during a beautiful garden wedding ceremony in the Scarbrough Garden at Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum.

On the wedding day, it was the perfect Southern weather for a wedding in Savannah! Typically Savannah can still be quite hot in September. However, the week leading up to the wedding brought cooler than usual temperatures. These temperatures were not only favourable for Grace and Sean’s guests, but the flowers also loved it!

Simple Yet Stunning Wedding Design

Grace and Sean had a clear vision for their wedding day design. For this destination wedding in Savannah, they wanted the day to have a simple and classic aesthetic focused on greenery. Grace expressed her love for greenery during our initial consultations, we knew it had to be a focal point of the floral design.

Our team paired traditional white blooms with lush greenery for this classic wedding design. A selection of white flowers including dahlias, hydrangeas, roses, ranunculus, and iris’ were used. In addition, the white anemone flower was chosen as an accent to the floral design bringing a modern element to the arrangements. We love the anemone flower with its dark black and sometimes navy center as a way to add a touch of color to all-white floral designs.

Garden Wedding Ceremony

Located in the historic district of Savannah, the Scarbrough gardens at Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum were the perfect wedding venue for this destination wedding in Savannah. The William Scarbrough House is home to the largest private gardens in Savannah. With this in mind, we knew there was already endless amounts of beauty at the ceremony site, so attention was focused on the bridal bouquet and bridesmaid flowers. Various white blooms were used for the bouquets that were finished with an elegant dusty blue ribbon.

Ships Of The Sea Wedding Reception

Amongst guest tables, we rotated tall and low centerpieces designed with white florals and greenery. It was the perfect combination for this mixed floorplan with round and long tables.

The tall centerpiece arrangements on the round tables consisted of all greenery and paired nicely with the simple aesthetic. We incorporated over five different types of foliage in each arrangement to create texture and variety. The greenery for this wedding was sourced locally and was foraged from a local friend’s farm here in Savannah.

On the long tables, we placed blue pillar candles with greenery intertwined and elegant white floral centerpieces in white vases. We were so excited that we were able to source pillar candles that matched the dusty blue color palette, and we love how they tied the design together.
From the all-green centerpieces to the greenery intertwined in the reception decor, this simple and classic floral design worked perfectly for this destination wedding in Savannah. Whether you are local to Savannah or planning your dream destination wedding beyond, we’d love to work with you to bring your design vision to life! So, reach out and let us know where you are planning your dream destination wedding!
