Lowndes Grove – Charleston, SC
Think “classic southern charm with a twist” – the monarch butterfly was our main source of inspiration for designing the wedding flowers in this Charleston Weddings Magazine feature at Lowndes Grove. Gray Harper owner Andrea wanted the bride’s bouquet to look light and airy – which it totally did! In person, the blooms moved ever so slightly with the wind. We added a dainty foraged shrub to add the perfect amount of femininity without being too “girly.” We kept the traditional colors of spring but mixed in more subdued tones for a sophisticated look. The brown Lisianthus and Combo Roses toned down our spring color palette. Minimal greenery allowed the blooms to stand out since this Charleston venue was already so lush and green. Earth-toned pottery and ribbons rounded out the wedding design.
