Classic Southern Charm with a twist – the monarch butterfly was our main source of inspiration for choosing and designing the flowers for this Charleston Weddings Magazine feature. Andrea wanted the bride’s bouquet to feel and look light and airy – which it totally did! In person the blooms moved ever so slightly with the wind. A dainty foraged shrub we added gave it the perfect amount of femininity without being too “girly”. Keeping the traditional colors of Spring – but mixed with more muddy tones gave it a more sophisticated look. The brown lisianthus and combo roses were the perfect earthy colors to help tone down a sometimes over saturated Spring palette. The use of minimal greenery was also key allowing the blooms to stand out and not get lost in a sea of green since the venue was so lush and green already. Earth-toned pottery and ribbons were also key to rounding out the entire design.
